This Privacy Policy describes how Akagawa Innovations Inc. (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use Yata (https://yata.live), a Slack-based productivity application.

By installing or using Yata, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you install or interact with Yata through Slack, we may collect the following information:

Slack Account Information

Through Slack OAuth authorization we may access and store basic Slack account information such as:

  • Slack User ID
  • Slack Workspace ID (affiliated organization)
  • Slack display name and profile information
  • Slack email address associated with the user account

Application Data

Information generated while using the service such as:

  • Availability sets and scheduling data
  • Commands or interactions used with the application
  • Basic usage metadata required to operate the service

If users connect their Google Calendar, Yata may also access calendar data such as:

  • Calendar event times
  • Busy / free availability information
  • Calendar identifiers required for scheduling features

This information is used only to provide scheduling functionality inside Slack, such as determining availability or helping users coordinate meeting times.

Yata does not store or use Google Calendar data for advertising or unrelated purposes.

We only collect and process data necessary to provide the core functionality of Yata.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide scheduling and availability features inside Slack
  • Process natural language commands
  • Maintain application functionality
  • Improve reliability and performance of the service

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data for advertising purposes.

3. Google API Services

If Yata integrates with Google services, any information received from Google APIs will be used solely to provide features requested by the user.

Yata's use of Google API data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data will not be used for advertising or sold to third parties. Yata only accesses Google Calendar data that is necessary to support scheduling and availability features requested by the user.

4. Third-Party Services

Yata relies on several third-party services to operate, including:

  • Slack API
  • OpenAI API
  • Cloud infrastructure providers such as Railway

These services may process information only to the extent required to provide the functionality of Yata.

5. Data Storage and Security

Application data is stored on secure infrastructure operated by trusted service providers.

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect user information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

Authentication Credentials

To operate the service, Yata stores authentication credentials required to interact with integrated services such as Slack and Google.

These may include:

  • Slack OAuth access tokens
  • Google OAuth tokens used for calendar integration

These credentials are stored in encrypted form within our database and are used only to provide authorized functionality requested by the user.

Access to these credentials is restricted to the systems required to operate the service.

Logging and Diagnostics

Yata may collect system logs and technical metadata to maintain service reliability and diagnose issues.

Logs may include information such as:

  • Request timestamps
  • System errors
  • Operational events

Most diagnostic logs are anonymous. However, certain application events may be associated with a Slack user or workspace in order to provide the requested functionality.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the service or maintain system integrity.

Workspace administrators may request removal of stored data by contacting us.
